We have five chambres d’hôtes / bed & breakfast rooms – four double rooms and one with twin beds.  All rooms have an en-suite shower room and tea & coffee-making facilities with hotel-quality bed linen and towels.  B&B rooms can be booked alongside any of our gites to offer total flexibility in the size of group we can accommodate.  (Perfect for grandparents who appreciate a peaceful sanctuary and occasional respite from boisterous grandchildren!)

Guests have full use of all facilities, including swimming pool, gym, gardens and lounge. There is free wifi access throughout and the lounge offers a large screen television and large projection screen for film nights. It also has an “Honesty Bar” where guests are welcome to help themselves to a drink!

Breakfast is served from 8.00 – 10.00am (other times by arrangement)

Wake up to the tempting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baking croissants!  The continental buffet breakfast may vary slightly from day to day but will typically include: an assortment of freshly baked pastries, French bread, locally produced jams and honey, a selection of cold meats and cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, fruit juice and tea/coffee/hot chocolate.  In the summer you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast outside on the patio taking in the superb views across the Rotja Valley.

All B&B guests have use of a shared fridge and barbeque so you can enjoy a chilled glass of wine or beer and prepare a basic meal if you wish. Packed lunches available on request.

There are a good choice of places to eat nearby.   Sahorre village has its own bistro within a few minutes walk and it is less than two miles to nearby Vernet les Bains which offers a very traditional village square surrounded by cafés and bistros.  The fortified medieval town of Villefranche de Conflent is about a five mile drive and offers a great selection of tempting little bars and restaurants.

“My wife and I have just returned from our second visit to La Chataigneraie. We had a really wonderful time, our B&B room was of a high standard and was spotlessly clean. The location is superb and the views in all directions are amazing. Caroline & Bob treated us like part of the family and we want to return as soon as we possibly can.”
